Loom

The invention of the loom, around 1400 BC, accelerated the development of Andean textile art, which was originated 5,000 years ago. This instrument, which allows setting a system of vertical threads (warp) with horizontal yarns interwoven (weft), makes it possible to combine yarns of different densities, colors and materials, making various textile structures and complex designs.
